Aigine CRC is starting the project “Mobilizing academic communities in Central Asia to produce new knowledge about the 1916 Uprising and to build shared academic platforms for exchanging and disseminating knowledge about ethnically or/and politically sensitive topics.” Within the framework of the project, 2-3 participants from Central Asian countries (Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan) will be selected on a competitive basis. Basic requirements to the project participants are following: 1) be citizens of Central Asian countries, 2) work in the field of social sciences and humanities, 3) to be a staff member of local organizations not lesser than 3 years (universities, government or non-government research organizations). Regional participants will receive support for conducting field/archival research and will work in partnership with scholars, specializing in the study of similar topics for the purpose of joint reflection, conceptualization and preparation of publications.
