Sacred Geography of Kyrgyzstan: linking spirituality with art

16-18 of November,2015 Gulnara Aitpaeva, Director of Aigine CRC participated in the Fourth International Colloquium of SEECHAC (Sociйtй Europйenne pour l’Йtude des Civilisations de l’Himalaya et de l’Asie Centrale), which took place in Heidelberg, Germany. The theme of the colloquium was «Religious Revivals and Artistic Renaissance in Central Asia and the Himalayan Region – Past and Present».
Gulnara Aitpaeva presented the paper “Sacred Geography of Kyrgyzstan: linking spirituality with art”. Sacred geography is an assembly and networks of the sacred sites. The author assumes that Sacred Geography is the domain, where socially-oriented spirituality and socially-committed art are worked out. It is the territory, where
ЭЛ (ordinary people) attempts to make an impact on political authority from bottom.
